VALENTINA
FURIAN
Valentina Furian works mainly with moving images. Her research focuses on the relationship between reality and fiction and, through her practice, she tries to put herself in the limit between this duality. Her cinematographic work is a hybrid between documentary experimentation and narrative fiction. The “un-intended” narrative is often satisfied by the non-human performativity that inhabits her sets. Her research originates from the interspecific relationship between humans and natural beings, looking for the value of the wild within everyday life and investigating animal and human domestication as a form of power.
